Audio Video Connections and cables

Cables Connections and explanation:

Over-the-air TV broadcasts are used to receive TV signals.

1. Connect antenna to RF input on DTV converter box.

2. Connect audio/video (yellow, white, red) cables from the composite outputs on the DTV converter box to the DVD Recorder's composite A/V INPUTS. The proper input is selected using the DVD Recorder's remote control input select button when recording.

3. Connect DVD Recorder OUTPUT to TV INPUT using yellow, white, red cables on alternate TV input. DVD Recorder is selected using the TV remote control input select button when viewing DVD.

4. Connect RF coaxial cable (RG-6) from DTV converter box "OUT TO TV" jack to VCR/DVD RF input jack. DTV box will output on channel 3 or 4 so VCR has to be set to channel 3 or 4 to record. When VCR is powered off, the signal should pass-thru to the TV which should be set to channel 3 or 4.

5. Connect RF coaxial cable from VCR RF output to TV RF input.

6. Connect audio/video (yellow, white, red) cables from VCR/DVD combo composite output to TV inputs. TV is set to LINE/AUX.
