Connect a TV, VCR, with Satellite TV. 


Components:

o Satellite TV signal source IN.
o TV set with audio/video inputs, RF input.
o Three RF coaxial cables.
o Two sets of Audio/Video RCA cables (1-yellow composite video, 1-red & 1-white audio).
o Satellite TV receiver.
o VHS VCR.









Why would you want this configuration?
You can view satellite TV programming and record TV shows.

What can you do with this configuration?

o Record a standard definition TV show from satellite TV to VHS tape, 
o Play a VHS tape of a standard definition show that you recorded, 
o Watch satellite TV only.


What settings do you need for this configuration?
The TV will need to be set to Line 1 (L1) to receive the VCR's output.
The VCR will need to be set to Line 1 (L1) in order to get the satellite TV output. 
The TV will need to be set on channel 3 or 4 to get the RF output.

Cable configuration explanation
TV programs are selected on the satellite TV receiver and converted to channel 3 or 4 over the RF coax cable.
Composite video and stereo audio are provided out of the satellite receiver and can be input to a recorder or TV.
