The Roku TV™ much like most modern TVs, has a built-in ATSC TV tuner that provides access to digital “over-the-air” broadcast television. These local channels can be accessed via a VHF/UHF TV antenna connected to the Live TV input (coaxial) on your Roku TV. These local over-the-air channels are free to watch. If you live in a city, you should have at least CBS, NBC and ABC and you may also have PBS and FOX plus many more smaller local channels. Go to www.antennaweb.org and enter your location (zip code) to view all the TV stations in your area. You will need an antenna, either outdoor or indoor. If the TV broadcast towers are close enough to you, say within 15 to 20 miles or less, you may only need an indoor antenna. If the TV tower is more than this distance from you, then the larger outdoor antenna may be required. Connect the coaxial cable from your TV antenna to the “Ant/Cable In” connector on the back of your TV. How to install coaxial cable Align the copper pin in the center of the coaxial cable with the hole in the antenna port and insert. Next screw the cable housing clockwise onto the port until it is tightend all the way for a secure connection. To access free “over-the-air” broadcast television, the VHF/UHF TV antenna must be connected to the Live TV input of your TV (threaded round silver connection). Next, grab the ROKU TV remote control and press the POWER button to turn the TV on. Next press the HOME button. Go to "HOME" on ROKU TV. Use ROKU TV remote control. Look for the "LIVE TV" tile. (Some TVs such as TCL also use the ROKU operating system but call this ANTENNA instead of LIVE TV) If the "Live TV" tile is missing, you can add it by going to Settings > TV inputs > Live TV > Set up input. Scroll DOWN to "Settings" then go to "TV inputs" Go to LIVE TV Go to "Set up input" Select "Antenna" Next the ROKU TV will scan for available channels When completed, the TV will save the channels in memory Now you can view your local free TV channels At a later time, if you decide to scan for more channels or manage the channels, go to HOME > Settings > TV inputs > LIVE TV > SCAN for Channels Channel Scan Now, you’re ready to watch live TV! While you’re watching, try the following tips: • Press UP or DOWN arrow buttons on remote to change channels. • Press LEFT to display the Live TV Channel Guide, and then press UP or DOWN to select a channel to watch. Or press REWIND or FAST FWD to jump through the Live TV Channel Guide a page at a time. • Press OK to display information about the current program. • Press STAR * to see options for picture and sound settings.
