Connection diagram for SONY Bravia KDL32S5100 HDTV SONY KDL32S5100 REVIEWS 08/24/2009 Great picture/easy menu/too simple/excellent remote Audio is defective on many sets. Distortion is excessive. Sony is aware of this problem. They will fix it for you but the wait period is 2 months! When you power-up, the sound bar indicator on-the-screen between levels 1-3 will produce continious distotrtion. You will always hear it unless you pass the sound level beyond 4 and above which the audio is loud enough as to where the distortion isn't heard. Sony failed to do a 5.1 sound set-up and the JACKPACK on the back only has one HDMI input which of course goes to the DVD player. Sony does add two more HDMI jacks on the side if you don't mind wires showing on the side. These minor defects are shy of a recall. Avoid units made up to July 2009. Would you recommend this product to a friend?: No 07/23/2009 The Best 1080p Tv out there for the price! Fantastic True 1080p Picture, at a great price Bad sound, needs a firmware upgrade out of the box to enjoy the full picture quality "The Sony KDL-32S5100 is a fantastic TV, I own 3 1080p tv's, 2 of which are top of the line Sony (46in) and Samsung (40in) and this TV's picture quality is very much comparable to both top end lines. This is the perfect Tv for a bedroom or a living room. It is easily the best TV out there for the price. The only downfall is the Tv has a problem with the auto contrast out of the box, even when you set it to off it does an annoying auto contrast on dark scenes that can be very distracting, and ruin the overall blu ray and video game experiance. Sony has addressed this issue with a simple firmware upgrade that can be found on Sony's site, after installing this upgrade the TVs contrast is fantastic and the picture really pops with fantastic colors, superb depth and amazing detail. I highly recommend this TV to all blu ray owners, and video game owners!" Would you recommend this product to a friend?: Yes 07/22/2009 Great Picture and ease of set up Needs firmware update but that wasn't bad So far I'm really impressed with this TV. The picture and sound are great and set up was quite easy. I had bought an Insignia 720p but I took it back because the picture was so bad. I bought this Sony 1080p and I've been very pleased. Another reviewer mentioned the firmware upgrade so we logged onto the Sony site, downloaded the update to a flash drive and then plugged it into the back of the tv. It took about 10 mins. Honestly, we didn't notice a problem with the picture but since the firmware upgrade was out there we decided to download to be safe. Nice tv and very nice HD picture. Would you recommend this product to a friend?: Yes 07/21/2009 Great Picture, Clear and Defined sound This hdtv is well worth the price. The picture is excellent.The color, brightness, contrast, etc, are all excellent. The sound is amazing. It is not muffled, it is very clear. The sound system within the tv has, somewhat, of a surround sound effect. Overall, this tv is top of the line. I have had other hdtv's before, so I have a good idea of what is good and what isn't.
